A program of activities, which includes a walk on the river Sado, guided visits to the Moorish and Gambian estates, music and tastings, between the 24th and 27th, celebrates World Tourism Day in Setúbal.
The flavors and knowledge of the Setúbal region are shared in this commemorative program organized by the City Council, which starts on the 24th, at 13:30 pm, with the initiative “CriAR & ObservAR II – As Aves da Mourisca”, aimed at the whole family, which includes a boat trip for bird watching in the Sado estuary, in the Mourisca area.
The Moorish birds observed during the tour inspire an educational workshop, scheduled for 14:30 pm, which challenges the creativity of participants to reproduce birds using recycled material. Registration, which must be done online, costs 10 euros for children and 15 euros for adults.

On the following day, the 25th, the activity “Por Terras dos Pernilongos”, provides a tourist itinerary in the Sado estuary that brings together two must-visit places, Herdade da Mourisca and Herdade de Gâmbia. The circuit starts at 15:00 pm, at the Moinho de Maré da Mourisca, with a guided tour of the museum room, and continues, aboard a minibus, through areas of marshland, Mediterranean forest and the Sado Estuary Natural Reserve to the Herdade of the Gambia, where there is a tasting of Sado oysters and a wine tasting.
