“Cuttlefish in Setúbal” is the theme of a meeting of the Confraria do Peixe taking place at Casa da Baía, on October 21st, which includes a showcooking, open to the public, with registrations ongoing.
The “V Chapter of the Noble Confraria Gastronomica do Melhor Peixe do Mundo” begins at 10 am with the conference “O Choco” in which the president of the Setúbal City Council, André Martins, will speak in the opening session.
This is followed by speeches by the researcher from the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere, João Pereira, the businessman in the fish sector Luís Silvério, the owner of the Casa do Peixe restaurant Luís Rebelo Cruz and the chef Tiago Emanuel Santos.
The program, reserved for members of the Confraria do Peixe, also includes the enthronement of new confreres, at 12:00 p.m., the General Electoral Assembly, at 12:30 p.m., and ends with a lunch with cuttlefish tastings harmonized with wines from the region and accompanied by musical moments by the saxophonist David Carrapo.
From 17pm onwards, there will be a showcooking open to the public, with free registration until October 00th, via email at gpe@mun-setubal.pt.
The menu prepared live by chef Mauro Loureiro includes cuttlefish meatballs and creamy lemon verbena with red fruits.
