More than four dozen restaurants participate, between the 25th of August and the 3rd of September, in the Semana do Carapau, a gastronomic event organized by the Municipality of Setúbal which also includes an interpretive tour and a commented tasting.
For ten days, the initiative, part of the gastronomic and tourist promotion strategy developed by the municipality, offers traditional recipes and other innovative ones made with horse mackerel in the 44 participating restaurants.
The program, organized with the support of Docapesca, of the Regional Wine Commission of the Setúbal Peninsula, provides, on the 2nd, the interpretive tour “From Pelim to Charro-do-alto, Carapau Semper!”.

Information about the meeting point of the tour, with registration by completing an online form available at https://tinyurl.com/ocarapau, will be sent by email to participants in the activity.
