The regulation for the use of the Portinho da Arrábida Bridge-Pier and the mooring spaces at the Professor Luiz Saldanha Marine Park was approved yesterday, at a public meeting of the Setúbal City Council.
The Regulations for the use of the Portinho da Arrábida Pier-Bridge and the mooring spaces at Portinho da Arrábida, Galapos and Parque Marinho Luiz Saldanha were subject to public consultation between December 15th and January 30th, without contributions being made or proposals being made. of change.
The document establishes the criteria for the allocation of parking spots in the mooring spaces of Portinho da Arrábida, with a total of 70 spaces, and Galapos, with 10 spaces, both located in the Professor Luiz Saldanha Marine Park.
The definition of the criteria for attributing mooring points in Portinho da Arrábida and Galapos is the responsibility of the Setúbal City Council, as the managing entity, and takes into account the order in which licensing requests are entered, the characteristics of the vessels and their suitability for the place of parking, as well as the number of available mooring points.
The regulation also defines that the granting of authorization to use individual mooring points is limited to vessels up to eight meters in length overall and with four-stroke engines.
Holders of mooring points are not permitted to transfer or transfer parking spaces to third parties, even temporarily, “except in situations of recognized urgency and duly authorized by the managing entity”.
With regard to the period of operation of the mooring spaces, the document establishes that Portinho da Arrábida “is considered a port of shelter in the period between the last Sunday in March and the last Sunday in October”.
The Galapos mooring space, made up of ten boat parking spots, to the west of the beach, only operates during the bathing season.
