The glorieta a Luísa Todi, which is located on the avenue with the same name, in front of the Civil Government building, was inaugurated on the occasion of the centenary of the singer's death in the former Parque das Escolas, today Largo José Afonso.
The monument, later moved to Avenida Luísa Todi, where it is located, was designed by Abel Pascoal, sculpted by Leopoldo de Almeida and built by Abílio Salreu.
Luísa Todi was born in Setúbal, in the parish of Nossa Senhora da Anunciada, on January 9, 1753 and died in Lisbon, in Travessa da Estrela, on October 1, 1833.
