A stunning exhibition in a unique Art Nouveau building, next to the Livramento Market.
Part of the exhibition center of the Museu de Setúbal/Convento de Jesus is located in the Municipal Gallery of Banco de Portugal, a space that has been recovered and adapted to host cultural events, namely exhibitions.
Operating as a municipal gallery since 2013, the building was the representation of Banco de Portugal in Setúbal between 1917 and 1994.
The architecture, designed by Arnaldo Adães Bermudes, shows Art Nouveau influences and was a symbol of the district's financial power during the period when it initially received the correspondence, and later the bank's branch in Setúbal.
