LISBON-SETÚBAL
Fertagus is the concessionaire for operating the north/south axis, guaranteeing the rail connection between Lisbon and Setúbal at different times, every day of the week. Stations and timetables can be consulted at https://www.fertagus.pt/
All stations served by Fertagus have lifts or ramps for people with reduced mobility.
Regarding the transport of wheelchairs, users should contact Fertagus Customer Support, calling (+351) 707 127 127 or (+351) 211 066 363, preferably 48 hours in advance, so that it is possible to arrange for the placement of ramps for wheelchair access to the interior of the train.
As an alternative to the Fertagus rail connection, it is possible to reach Setúbal on the maritime connection made from Terreiro do Paço by Transtejo Soflusa (a public service concessionaire between the north and south banks of the Tagus), which guarantees the connection to Barreiro. Then you must use the CP rail transport to connect to Setúbal. This is also an option for those departing from the south bank.
Both river terminals – Terreiro do Paço and Barreiro – are adapted for people with reduced mobility. With regard to CP stations, given that this line has been in existence for a few years, it is advisable to plan your trip in advance with this concessionaire, as accessibility conditions vary depending on the place of origin.
Thus, CP has the Integrated Mobility Service (SIM), which aims to provide full support to people with special needs.
