Taking inspiration from Priscilla Presley's memoir, the director sought to examine “the way Priscilla becomes who she is and what being a woman means for her and the next generation. She lives many of the same experiences that all young women experience as they enter adulthood, but in a grand and unusual environment. Priscilla’s story is simultaneously unique and extraordinarily familiar.”
