Scenic shows and workshops taking place in various spaces are part of the World Theater Day program, promoted by the City Council between the 1st and 27th of March, which reinforces Setúbal's claim as a city of artistic creation.

The celebrations of World Theater Day focus on an eclectic program for all ages with a month of celebration of performing art as an essential vehicle for reflection and cultural expression.

A dozen shows for different audiences are presented by companies from various parts of the country with the aim of addressing current issues, particularly those associated with the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April, an anniversary that has its own program.
