House of the Bay
The Tourist Promotion Centre – House of the Bay is the main tourism office in the municipality.
It provides information about tourist activities in the town’s historic centre, as well as information about beaches, wine tourism, culture and gastronomy, municipal events, local tour operators and nature reserves.
Typical products of the municipality, such as cheese, wine and sweet pastries are promoted and sold at House of the Bay. This municipal heritage building, which dates back to the first half of the 18th century, was transformed into a multi-purpose venue in 2011 and gathers the best of what Setúbal has to offer.
Outdoors, in one of the property’s external areas, there is a space for leisure activities and shows.
The covered cloisters serve as a winter garden; a space to relax and interact, perfect for holding small cultural events.
Besides a multi-purpose venue and the main tourism office, here you will also find the Queijo de Azeitão and Moscatel de Setúbal associations, as well as the Setúbal Bay Association.
It also has a meeting room and an auditorium for meetings, seminars and conferences.
Interpretive Centre of the Sado Estuary Bottlenose Dolphin
At House of the Bay, a true welcome centre for those visiting the Setúbal region, you will also find an exhibition gallery and the Interpretive Centre of the Sado Estuary Bottlenose Dolphin, created with the aim to raise and spread awareness about the Sado’s dolphin community.
