Setúbal Custom Weekend celebrates biker spirit
The ninth edition of Setúbal Custom Weekend, the largest event dedicated to motorcycle culture and customization in the Iberian Peninsula, will take place on the 28th and 29th of September, at Praia da Saúde.
On the last weekend of September, Avenida José Mourinho is closed to car traffic in front of Praia da Saúde, for two days of riverside entertainment, with around 120 exhibitors of products and services that celebrate the biker spirit, motorcycle and helmet customization competitions, musical shows and gastronomic stalls.
The event, co-organised by Harley Riders Setúbal and Setúbal City Council, open to the public between 10am and midnight on Saturday and between 00am and 24pm on Sunday, provides the opportunity to see artists at work live, visit an exhibition of classic vehicles and take part in test rides of the latest Harley-Davidson/American Motorcycles models.
Visitors have access to bars spread throughout the grounds and live music concerts by five Portuguese rock bands.
On Saturday, the 28th, Os Cardosos will perform at 16:00 pm, El Pavoni & The Moonshine Tones at 18:30 pm, and Rockink Horse at 21:00 pm.
Shows scheduled for the following day include The Javalis, at 14pm, and Impossibly Funky The Revival, starting at 00pm.
A Live Custom Talk is also planned for the 28th, at 15 pm, in which a surprise guest will talk about the process of building a motorcycle.
As part of the event, on Sunday morning, starting at 10:00 am, at Praça de Bocage, the traditional tour of the region will once again take place, which has taken hundreds of motorcycles along a route that includes the roads of Serra da Arrábida.
Setúbal Custom Weekend continues to provide an area dedicated to children's fun, ensuring the family-friendly and inclusive nature of the event.
