An interactive exhibition with the best covers that make up the 50-year history of the Expresso newspaper opens on August 24, at 12:00 pm, on Avenida Luísa Todi.
The itinerant exhibition “50 Years of Expresso”, which has been touring 18 cities in the country since January 26, is made up of 26 mupis with a selection of 50 covers published since January 1973, with the aim of bringing readers closer to the celebrations of the newspaper's half century of life.
Each of the covers is accompanied by a QR Code through which visitors can download the stories that made the news each year, in audioguide format, as well as listen to the special podcast “50 years of Expresso”.
In addition to the exhibition, which runs until the 5th of September, organized with the support of the Setúbal City Council, the Expresso offers the city an original piece of urban art created especially for this occasion, which is installed on Avenida Luísa Todi.
The “bench”, three meters long and with a capacity of six, decorated with the newspaper's emblematic covers, aims to be a meeting place and an incentive to read.
The piece, designed and produced by Antarte, provides free Wi-Fi.
The “50 Years of Expresso” exhibition will then travel to Aveiro, where it will be on view from September 7th to 19th, and Porto, from September 21st to October 3rd.
