SUSHI WITH OUR FISH

Japanese cuisine combines with fish from the Sadina coast in the gastronomic event “Sushi com Peixe Nosso”, to be held on the 24th, 25th and 26th of May, with special menus in three restaurants in the city and a workshop.

The initiative is organized by the Setúbal City Council, under the “Setúbal, Terra de Peixe” brand, and involves the restaurants Casa Japonesa, Omotenashi and Ryöri.

On these three days, these spaces have special delicacies on the menus, with royal corvinata usuzukuri at Casa Japonesa, snapper nigiris and sashimi at Omotenashi and fataça bentobox at Ryöri.

“Sushi com Peixe Nosso”, promoted with the support of DocaPesca, AZ Cook Azeitão – Cooking Studio and Adega de Palmela, also reserves, on the 26th, between 11am and 00pm, a workshop with chef Flávio Silva.

The activity, with a cost of 45 euros and registration on this link, takes place at AZ Cook Azeitão – Cooking Studio and shares secrets and techniques of ancestral Japanese cuisine with participants.

The preparation of fish, the importance of Japanese rice and the use of fruits and vegetables are topics covered in the workshop, which includes the preparation of a sushi meal, accompanied by wines from Adega de Palmela.

“Sushi com Peixe Nosso” is part of the set of gastronomic cycles organized by the municipality under the “Setúbal, Terra de Peixe” brand, promoting regional products and which, at the same time, stimulates local restaurants.
