Demonstration of crafts, gastronomic tasting and ecological mobile workshop enrich the August program of Moinho ConVida, taking place on the 16th and 31st of August, at Moinho de Maré da Mourisca.

During the initiative organized by Setúbal City Council, with partnerships, the public has the opportunity to learn about the work of several local producers and artisans.

In the activity “Na Mó de Cima – Pontos & Manjares de Tradição”, on August 16th, between 15pm and 00pm, artisans Maria Vicente and Alzira Mendes, from the Maria Cacau project, demonstrate live traditional Portuguese stitches, bobbin lace , embroidery and Arraiolos stitch.

At the end of the session, chef Domingos Cruz, from Doces Afetos, hosts a tasting of rice pudding from “Ti Domingos” and pumpkin pudding, accompanied by Moscatel de Setúbal.

Registration to participate in this first initiative of the Moinho ConVida program costs five euros and must be done by email to turismo.setubal@mun-setubal.pt.

“Oficina OLHÓ Passarinho” is the proposal reserved for August 31st, between 11 am and 00 pm, in which educator Isaura Pinto presents the Ervilha Maravilha project and teaches how to create ecological mobiles.

Participation is free, but registration is required via email to turismo.setubal@mun-setubal.pt.

Moinho ConVida's August program is organized in partnership with ICNF – Institute for the Conservation of Nature and Forests, the Sado Estuary Natural Reserve, Doces Afetos and Maria Cacau, with the collaboration of Santogal.
