The classic wine tastings and visits to cellars are complemented by the flavors of Azeitão cheeses and pies and sausages or by visits to monuments, art exhibitions, activities in contact with nature and, in some cases, by the offer of accommodation by the wine producers in the municipality of Setúbal.

Wine can just be an argument for an entire sensory experience – from taste to smell, from sight to hearing and touch. Here are some examples.

At the Casa-Museu da José Maria da Fonseca, a company founded in 1834 in Azeitão, the visitor gets to know the history of the producer and travels through the old cellars, where the wines are aged and the oldest muscatels of Setúbal, some of which are centenary, rest.

Also in Azeitão, Bacalhôa Vinhos de Portugal proposes visits to the Bacalhôa Palace, an architectural gem set in a five-century farm that belonged to the Portuguese royal family, and to the Bacalhôa Adega Museu, where history, wine, nature and art come together.

At Quinta de Catralvos it is also possible to taste wines, as well as the famous cheeses and pies from Azeitão, and you can also visit the winery and get to know the production process and the most modern technology of working the vine and wine.

In the heart of Arrábida Natural Park, Quinta de Alcube has a XNUMXth century manor house, the São Macário museum chapel, the Vine and Wine Museum and the Alto das Necessidades Chapel. It offers tours, visits to the cellar, wine tasting accompanied by cheeses and sausages and accommodation.
